Scope

This policy describes the Coabl language-learning app, Coabl Cloud, and coabl.app. It explains what is processed on your device, what is sent to online services, and the choices available to you. The service operator and privacy contact will be identified here before public launch.

Information used by Coabl

Account information can include your email address, name, profile image, sign-in provider identity, and authentication sessions. Sessions can include an IP address and user-agent information. We use this information for sign-in, account security, and access to cloud features.

Learning content can include messages, relevant conversation history, selected text, attachments, media links, transcripts, saved words, excerpts, and practice responses. Content needed for an online request is sent to Coabl Cloud and the providers that fulfill that request.

Subscription and usage records can include product and transaction identifiers, subscription periods, entitlement status, credit balances, request identifiers, model identifiers, token or voice usage, and error/status metadata. These records support purchases, usage limits, security, and billing. Apple processes App Store payments; Coabl does not receive your payment-card number.

Device and cloud processing

Local learning records and app files are stored on your device. Where available and enabled, Apple iCloud/CloudKit synchronizes supported records across your devices. Deleting a local app does not necessarily delete iCloud records or a Coabl Cloud account.

AI conversations and online learning features process the messages and context needed for your request through Coabl Cloud and AI service providers. Depending on the feature and service configuration, providers can include DeepSeek, OpenAI, Google, and transcription or speech providers. Online speech generation can send the text to be spoken to Microsoft’s Edge speech service or another configured speech provider. Voice features can send recordings or streamed audio for transcription or conversation.

Video, podcast, and transcript discovery may contact YouTube, Apple/iTunes, podcast hosts, or media/transcript providers. Public media metadata and captions can be cached to provide those features. Those services can receive network information associated with the request.

Optional device features

Microphone, camera, photo-library, notifications, and other permissions are used only by the features you choose to enable. Permission can be changed in iOS Settings. Denying a permission may limit the related feature.

Where available and permitted, background operation can use approximate location updates to keep an ongoing task active. Live Activities can display playback controls or task information on your lock screen. Consider the visibility of lock-screen information when enabling these features.

If you use optional finance or receipt features, receipt recognition runs on-device. Locally stored receipt images are encrypted and excluded from backups. Optional bank connections use Plaid, and supporting structured finance records and application identity use Supabase. Coabl does not receive your online-banking password through Plaid. Separate deletion controls are provided for finance records. Availability can vary by build and region.

Service providers and disclosures

We disclose the information needed to operate requested features to hosting, authentication, email-delivery, AI, speech, media, purchase-verification, and storage providers. Current integrations include infrastructure hosting, Resend for sign-in emails, Apple for device/platform services, and RevenueCat for subscription verification. Optional features may use additional providers as described above.

Providers may process information in countries other than yours and under their own terms and privacy practices. We may also disclose information where legally required, to address abuse or protect security, or in connection with a change of service ownership, subject to applicable law. Do not include sensitive information in an AI request unless it is necessary and you understand the processing involved.

Retention, deletion, and your choices

Device records remain until removed through available app controls or device storage management. Cloud account, subscription, and usage records are retained as needed to operate the service, maintain accurate billing, handle security incidents, and meet applicable obligations. Provider-side retention is governed by the relevant service and contract. We do not promise immediate or universal deletion from every backup or provider.

You can delete supported conversations and learning records in the app and manage iCloud data through Apple’s settings. Removing the app or signing out does not cancel an App Store subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account.

Contact the privacy address that will be published here to request access, correction, or deletion of cloud account information, or to exercise other rights that apply in your jurisdiction. Identity verification may be required. Finance users can use the separate Delete All Finance Data control where available.

Website and security

This marketing website does not include advertising trackers, an analytics SDK, or a sign-up form. Its hosting provider, Vercel, can process ordinary web request information such as IP addresses and browser information to deliver the site and protect its infrastructure. Fonts and screenshots are served as site assets.

We use access controls, authenticated requests, and other safeguards appropriate to the feature. No storage or transmission system is completely secure. Never share account passwords or payment-card information in a chat.

Children and policy updates

Coabl is not intended for children under 13. Any higher minimum age required by local law applies. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review the request.

We may update this policy as features or legal requirements change. The current version and its updated date will be available on this page. Material changes will be communicated where required.
